FOR ME:
So…I just made the terrible mistake of passing by the dreaded magnified mirror in our hotel. BIG MISTAKE. Ladies, just do your self a favor and restrain from looking. My poor skin is in need of some serious TLC so I NEED your help! I currently use Proactive but am considering switching to Philosophy skin products. For some reason at 3…let’s just say 30-ish, my skin has decided to go crazzzzzy. I am thankful that for some reason during the stress of planning my wedding, my face was clear. That being said, I am not so stoked on having more acne now than I did as a teenager! So, any Philosophy fans out there??? I am also considering using a primer. Has anyone tried the Philosophy “the present” primer? I really want to try it out too! I would LOVE any feedback. TYIA!
FOR YOU:
Fun wedding gift sets…also by Philosophy! CUTE!!!

“every bride deserves to feel as beautiful as she is. hope, purity and grace are philosophy’s best-selling products that will inspire her heart and soul and allow her to feel truly beautiful. the bride set includes purity made simple one-step facial cleanser 2 oz., hope in a jar therapeutic moisturizer 1 oz., amazing grace perfumed shampoo, shower gel and bubble bath 2 oz., amazing grace perfumed firming body emulsion 2 oz. and amazing grace perfumed hand cream 1 oz. contained in a lovely hat box. it’s the perfect gift for the bride-to-be.”

Hey ladies (& gents)! Bridal Inquirer is happy to introduce you to Beau-Coup & Wedding Paper Divas newest joint venture…Resourceful Brides! And to kick it off in true recessionista style, they are sponsoring a contest in which one lucky bride (or groom) will win $1000 to purchase invitations and favors for all their guests! How awesome is that??? All you have to do is visit the site and submit the best money-saving wedding tip to be entered to win $1,000 in gift certificates from Wedding Paper Divas and Beau-coup! The deadline for submissions is Monday, July 20 at midnight, PST and the winning idea will be posted online on Friday, July 24.

Resourceful Brides is a great resource for the Recessionista Bride looking for money-saving tips in planning her wedding. My favorite tip so far…Favor Centerpieces: The average cost for a floral centerpiece is between $50 to $150. You can cut that cost altogether by creating “break-away” centerpieces out of your wedding favors. Simply arrange your favors on top of a decorative platter or cake plate and invite everyone at the table to take one home.
(Bridal Inquirer is not affiliated with WPD/Beau-Coup/Resourceful Brides or this contest, just happy to share the awesomeness!)

This bride & groom chose a silhouette theme and actually had Karl Johnson, of Cut Arts (in Los Angeles..woo hoo) cut silhouettes for their guests live at the wedding! SUCH a unique and memorable treat for their guests!
Be sure and check out his blog to see more!

What the bride & groom had to say…
~Karl was the first vendor I booked for our wedding. After seeing the spread in the Martha Stewart Wedding Magazine, I knew I had to have him. Our entire wedding theme was built around the silhouettes. We used silhouettes of ourselves for the invitations, the seating chart, the programs, and of course our favors were custom silhouettes of each guest. The duplicate silhouette of each of our guests was placed in a guest book and each person signed or wrote a message. It is amazing how you don’t even have to look at name or message to know who it is! The silhouette them and favors made our wedding absolutely unforgettable for us and all our guests! Karl, we can’t thank you enough…you are insanely talented and we were so privileged to have had you at our wedding!
Best Wishes and Much Love,
Rachael and Massimo

We had an outdoor wedding at a restaurant so I chose not to wear a veil since it seemed a little too formal, but if I had worn one…
it would have been one of these beauties from Sara Gabriel.

I have seen many a bride give their bridesmaids the option of wearing matching but un-matching dresses but THIS one definitely takes the cake. Thanks to one of my favorite blogs, the Classic Bride for sharing this beautiful photo.
VERY inspirational and OH SO very stylish!

Find more FAB uses for old things at Real Simple. I am addicted.

Serve Jordan Almonds in Vintage Teacups
Original purpose: Sipping Earl Grey.
Aha! use: Start your own custom and place candy-filled, vintage teacups at every table. (Or use them for favors if you can find full sets at flea markets or eBay.)
Reward: A simple and personalized dash of style.

Display Escort Cards With Miniature Clothespins
Original purpose: Organizing your papers.
Aha! use: Letting guests locate their tables in a creative way. Clip a miniature clothespin to the bottom of each paper to create the base for a rustic escort card display.
Reward: Pinning down your table assignment.

Serve Appetizers on Cake Stands
Original purpose: Showcasing a lemon Bundt triumph.
Aha! use: Serving appetizers. Have your caterer stack a small cake stand on top of a larger one to increase your surface area for canapés or crudités and free up precious table space.
Reward: No waiting time for hors d’oeuvres.

Upgrade Basic White Shoes With Clip-on Earrings
Original purpose: The finishing touch when you played dress-up in Grandma’s closet.
Aha! use: Channel Grandma’s style and update plain white wedding shoes with a funky pair of clip-on earrings. Attach them to the shoes at the center (or slightly off center), and let your fancy footwork peek out from under your gown.
Reward: Bejeweled shoes that can change with your mood.
