Wines that ROCK

Wines that Rock is a bad-ass collection of wines inspired by rock ‘n’ roll. I am thinking a bottle on each of the wedding guests tables would make an awesome centerpiece and/or conversation piece! Or if the bride & groom are classic rock fans, grab them the rainbow three pack which includes a bottle of each!

merlot

Tasting Notes The 2007 Merlot captures the attitude of Mendocino County’s style. Aromas of black cherry, with hints of mint are followed by rich flavors of plum, black cherry, brown sugar, cinnamon, and cedar. This dry red wine is a fine match for herb-roasted chicken, grilled beef, or smoky chili.

cabernet

Tasting Notes The 2006 Cabernet Sauvignon captures the attitude of Mendocino County’s style. Aromas of black currant and cherry are followed by rich flavors of cassis, toasted vanilla bean, and hints of chocolate. Enjoy this rich dry red wine with hearty chicken dishes, beef and lamb, and red-sauced pasta.

chardonnay

Tasting Notes The Woodstock Chardonnay opens with an enjoyably eclectic mixture of rich pear, mineral and papaya aromas followed by fresh flavors of Asian pear apple, citrus, and tropical fruit with great acid on the finish—or, as Mark likes to say, “sunshine in a bottle.” Enjoy this rich dry white wine with salmon, chicken, creamy soups, and white-sauced pasta.

wine

I already submitted my requests for their next series…ANY of the Led Zeppelin albums, Prince’s Purple Rain and The Eagles. What would you like to see on your next bottle of vino???

I saw something on these wines like on the Today Show so I ordered them. I got what they called a Rainbow pack which was 1 of each. They looked great when they came. But the big surprise was how good they were. i thought maybe I was being taken in by the bottles, but after I served them at a party, EVERYBODY loved them for the taste. Just goes to show you, you never know!

I want to see The Police next on a bottle. Synchronicity Shiraz anyone?

These wine bottles are really awesome! I wish I had seen them before I started planning for the reception. It’s a low key and casual garden party theme, but in the ceremony we’re getting married to songs by Queen and other rock legends. It would have been a nice tie in from ceremony to reception. I’m not a huge wine drinker but a lot of my guests are, and I’m sure they would have been great ice-breakers. I love how now a days weddings are pushing the envelope to personalization. It’s fantastic! I love seeing how other brides put twists on the traditional.

The other day I stumbled upon an ad on Facebook that had Jones soda bottles that you could personalize with your own picture, tag-line or other wording on it. You could also pick the flavor you wanted from a list. They were pretty awesome until I realized how expensive they were….almost $30 for a 12 pack and I have 150 guests! There went my desire!!
