Mark your Event!

Sunday, October 19th, 2008

Marked Event is seriously your one stop shop to create a theme to be carried throughout your entire celebration! While planning my wedding, I spent hours upon hours hunting for items that matched my color scheme. I never knew I could get everything from the napkins, coasters, OOT bags, favors, AND invitations all from the same place. The Silhouette theme below is one of the most popular themes for Spring 2009! It is SOOOO cute! These are just a few of the items you can “mark” with Marked Event. You have got to check them out…there are TONS of already made “marks” and items that you can customize, but they also do completely custom orders as well. Enjoy!

Custom Wedding Invitation Suite by Melangerie

Monday, October 13th, 2008

These custom save the dates and invitations were designed by one of my favorites, Melangerie!

Kris & Gabe were married in Providence, Rhode Island at a 1920’s era casino.

For the couple’s “save the date’s”, Melangerie used imagery from a vintage postcard of the bride and groom’s event location. The front of the card features a vintage illustration of the casino, and the back includes original postage marks from the vintage piece. They added event information to the back of the postcard in classic, archived typefaces for a charming yet easy to produce save the date card.

For the wedding invitation, they designed their “monogram” and invitations to reflect a deco-modern vibe, and gave an additional nod to the venue by referencing playing cards in the invite’s construction.

These are just so insanely awesome and original that I just had to share! Enjoy!

My Bridal Shower Invitation…

Tuesday, July 29th, 2008

I found my invitations at Paper Paper in Del Mar. If I remember correctly, they were $15.00 for 10 ( I bought 20). They were also going to charge me $30.00 to print them so I just bought some card stock and cut it into the same tag shape and did a trial on my personal printer. It worked perfectly so since I splurged a bit on the invitations, I saved by printing them myself. I could not find a website for Paper Paper but these are the invitations I got here.

Of course I just found these instructions online after the fact, but hopefully it saves you time!
