Real Wedding {Spotlight on Ohana Photography}

Saturday, December 27th, 2008

I was browsing through another one of our awesome local photographer’s blogs and came across this BEAUTIFUL Oceanside, CA wedding. Ohana Photography really outdid themselves with this one! Every photograph should be framed! Starting with these Stuart Weitzman heels!!!

The bride wore the most amazing Vera Wang gown…

and carried a bouquet of deep burgundy calla lillys which matched the black accents of the wedding decor/theme perfectly!

check out this fabulous view…(click to view a larger pic)

Congratulations to the handsome couple!

I want Queen Victoria ’s Wedding Shoes {Do You?}

Monday, December 15th, 2008

These are Queen Victoria’s wedding shoes circa 1840!  Don’t they just look like a beautiful pair of ballet toe shoes? I am in love with this picture of the insole. What amazing detail! So pretty, I had to share.

Anti-Bridal Photos by {John Michael Cooper}

Saturday, December 13th, 2008

Like his website says, this is a very different style of wedding photography. John Michael Cooper’s work is AMAZING! He only does “Anti-Bridals” approximately once per year and I, for one, am JEALOUS if you are one of the lucky ones. Don’t worry, brides and their gowns (we hope) were not hurt in the making of these shots. Make sure to check out his blog for more “Anti-Bridals” as well as his more traditional work. Enjoy!

I came across these photos on Peter Doyle’s blog. Peter is an awesome wedding photographer based out of Atlanta, and can also be found on twitter.

{Adorations & LunaPhoto} Your Wedding Day Dream Team

Saturday, December 6th, 2008

I remember coming across this wedding when I was in the midst of planning my own wedding. It was featured in the 2008 San Diego edition of Ceremony Magazine. Talk about wedding inspiration!!!

The bride and groom met while living across the street from each other when they were sophmores at Cal Poly. The groom proposed by carving “will you marry me” into the pier where they had carved their initials years earlier (awwww-too cute). They were married at the beautiful Hotel Del Coronado.

Floral design was by Adorations, which is one of my most favorite florists of all time! Rustic summer & fall colors were used throughout to create this beautiful event. Everything Lavonne does truly is botanical artistry! I am in awe every time I come across a wedding done by Adorations.

The bride wore an antique ivory, silk taffeta, mermaid style Ines Di Santo gown. Her BEAUTIFUL jewelry is by Regina B. Bridesmaid dresses are by Jenny Yoo.

And last, but most certainly not least…all photos are by another one of my favorites…LunaPhoto. Paula and Mike Luna are AMAZING wedding photographers based in San Diego. Their work has been featured on numerous wedding websites and magazines. To see more details from this wedding, check out the LunaPhoto Blog. You will not be disappointed.
