This is a pretty delayed response so I don't know if it helps now but the dress was custom made (this is the owner of the dress, the bride). After mad searching and feeling pretty disappointed with every dress I tried on, my mom found this incredible seamstress in Salt Lake City, Utah. Her name is Penelope and she creates unbelievable dresses. I sat down and told her several different elements from different dresses that I wanted to combine into one dress. She drew a quick sketch of exactly what I was invisioning and put it together in a couple months.

My fiance and I have both read "Eat, Love, Pray" together and we just loved the journey that Gilbert took us through...very powerful book and woman. We are now reading "Committed" and like April said it is different from "Eat, Pray, Love" but still a good read....but we're still reading it!

I've read both books. "Eat, Pray, Love" is in my top 5 all-time favorite books - and it's difficult to make it into my top five. I think it's a must-read for every woman. I've given multiple copies to friends and family members. I was extremely excited when I found out another book by this author was coming out, and I bought it immediately and read it within a week. "Committed" is completely different from "Eat, Pray, Love" so it's not really fair to compare the two. Let's just say that "Committed" isn't in my top 5 or top 10....but I'm glad that I read it.

BTW, I can completely relate to your post. I lived in Brooklyn for 5 years, and I read all the time on the subway rides to and from school and to and from work. Now, I only read before bed...unless I just can't put the book down. I hope you enjoy your books!

I loved loved loved "Eat, Pray, Love". I could not put it down! I want to read Committed but haven't gotten around to buying yet. I'm excited for the movie, I think Julia Roberts will play the role really well. :)

These wine bottles are really awesome! I wish I had seen them before I started planning for the reception. It's a low key and casual garden party theme, but in the ceremony we're getting married to songs by Queen and other rock legends. It would have been a nice tie in from ceremony to reception. I'm not a huge wine drinker but a lot of my guests are, and I'm sure they would have been great ice-breakers. I love how now a days weddings are pushing the envelope to personalization. It's fantastic! I love seeing how other brides put twists on the traditional.

The other day I stumbled upon an ad on Facebook that had Jones soda bottles that you could personalize with your own picture, tag-line or other wording on it. You could also pick the flavor you wanted from a list. They were pretty awesome until I realized how expensive they were....almost $30 for a 12 pack and I have 150 guests! There went my desire!!

Blake and I got engaged July 2009, but we've been best friends for long before that. Blake is the yin to my yan. Marriage only seems practical at this point. I look at Mr. Shofield's photography and know that he is a true artist. I would love to have a phenomenal photo taken of Blake and I that can one day be a painting or drawing hanging in our living room...I dare to dream : )...
