Ring Bowl…

Wednesday, August 20th, 2008

I found these on www.etsy.com today! Cute alternative to the traditional ring pillow…ring bowls! Both the bowls and the tags below can be customized to say whatever you want. I am thinking some tags with your names on them and some with your wedding date??? Those tags would be great attached to a favor box with matching ribbon! Fun!

“We Clicked”

Tuesday, August 19th, 2008

OK, I have seen it all now! This HAS to be the cutest idea EVER for people who met online and are now planning their wedding! It may be a bit expensive as a favor for a very large wedding but, these are mouse pads with the saying “We Clicked” on them. You could incorporate the “We Clicked” on your save the dates and custom napkins…I could go on and on. Click here to see these and other great items!

Cute Placecard Holders!!!

Sunday, August 17th, 2008

I love these placecard holders!!! I had a very small/intimate wedding and venue so we had open seating with cocktail tables rather than a sit-down dinner. BUT, if I was going to have assigned seating/tables…these would have been on my tables for sure! Check these out and more at www.somethingblueparties.com.

Martha Stewart Favor Boxes…

Tuesday, August 12th, 2008

I filled my martha stewart favor boxes with green and brown m&m’s and gave them out as bridal shower favors. I was going to do the custom m&m’s but since my wedding colors were granny apple green and chocolate brown, I saved money by just using the regular green/brown m&m’s! Anyways, I just wanted to show you some of the SUPER CUTE favor boxes as seen on www.marthastewart.com! I used the white eyelet ones seen below:

Decorating ideas…

I am a big fan of keeping it simple and elegant. I think these mini lanterns and pails would be super cute with some hydrangea and rose arrangements on your tables…You could also fill the pails with whatever your heart desires and use them as favors! I found both of these on www.idealfavors.com. Enjoy!

Bride & Groom Pez Dispensers…

Monday, August 11th, 2008

First off, I have to tell you how proud my husband is that he is contributing to this blog today! :) He handed me an article on Sunday about a San Diego couple who had Bride and Groom pez dispensers as their cake toppers! They only sell limited numbers of them and if you want them for your wedding next year, ORDER NOW! They cannot guarantee that they will get new stock for Spring of 2009 weddings. The set is $12.99 and pricing increases as their inventory gets lower! It would be a fun idea to have the bride and groom dispensers on your cake and then you can give the less expensive dispensers as favors. Or you could also just add them to a candy bar as decoration and maybe stack up the pez candy into the shape of a cake as a centerpiece! And to those of you going to a bridal shower soon, maybe add the bride and groom to the bow on your gift box! Hhhhhmmmm, I might have to get me a pair now :)

Cute Idea…

Sunday, July 27th, 2008

This is such a cute idea…especially for beach themed or near the beach weddings! As a favor, you fill a bucket with flip flops near the entrance or maybe by the dance floor. I know my feet were killing me at my wedding! I found this super cute bucket at Room Service Home. It is a little pricey at $58.00, but you could just use a few aluminum ones and make signs to match your color theme. Also, Michaels is having a sale on foam flip flops this week for only $1.00 each! I am loving this idea..

DIY Favor Idea…

Wednesday, June 18th, 2008

We made chocolate carmel candied apples for our wedding favors! These were a DIY project which the night before the wedding, I was a little sorry I did, BUT I loved the way they looked day of and we got a ton of compliments on them. My mom and I love scrapbooking so we just bought some paper from Pineapple Scrapbooking in Vista and bought the scalloped punch machine at Michaels with one of their 40%-50% off coupons they have each week. I never went to Michaels more than when planning my wedding! I also got the ribbon, home-made stamps, bags and sticks for the apples and the birdcage you can see on the table at Michaels! I ordered the “Love is Sweet” custom stamp from Staples.com. Pictures below. Enjoy!
