Hey Girls-
Okay, so I'm the newest member to join :D Here's my issue: I really don't want to serve food b/c A. it's too expensive for me to afford at 175-200guests...and B. No one really likes it...so do you think having heavy horderves would suffice?

If you just do heavy hourderves, just make sure your reception is not at dinner time so people don't expect dinner and don't eat (or you might get cranky guests, LOL). Maybe an early afternoon or evening reception rather than dinner time ;) or another idea is to have just dessert and champagne for an evening reception or pastries and champagne for an early one. Just some ideas!

I love the idea of champagne and dessert! I think it would be so cool to have a huge spread of delicious desserts and maybe some exoctic coffee blends as well? Otherwise, I think you can get away with having apps if it's a mid-day event. But please don't be discouraged and think you can't find quality food for a reasonable price. My friend had an incredibly delicious meal and she had a very conserative budget to work with. Shop around...you may be suprised at what you find! ;)
